3 Undervalued Dynasty QB3s to Buy for Top-24 Staying Power

In Superflex leagues, treating your QB3 as mere bye-week insurance is a structural failure. The sharpest managers aren't looking for temporary safety nets; they are looking for insulated assets with a clear developmental trajectory toward a permanent top-24 role. By identifying specific statistical indicators, organizational commitment, weapon aggregation, and scheme alignment, we can find massive values on the margins before a market correction takes place.

These three quarterbacks are currently priced at their floor as market QB3s, but they possess the exact profiles needed to become foundational QB2 staples over the next three years.

Before we dive into the targets, I have a massive update for those looking to dominate their leagues. My 2026 Rookie Guide is dropping soon. This comprehensive manual will feature over 60 rookies and cover the optimal strategy for positions 1-12 in your drafts.

Bryce Young (CAR)

When the Carolina Panthers traded the farm to acquire the #1 overall pick, everyone lost their minds. Then came the rookie year, and the collective fantasy community immediately buried him under the "bust" label. He was benched, he got in his own head, but he understood this wasn't the end. By the end of his rookie season, the pulse started to return.

What followed was a masterclass in a modern rebuild. Dave Canales stabilized the environment, the team drafted a prototype alpha in Tetairoa McMillan, and the Panthers shocked the world by winning the NFC South in 2025. Young’s sophomore leap was an undeniable step forward, posting 3,011 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Now, the front office has doubled down by drafting Chris Brazzell II. In Brazzell and McMillan, Carolina has constructed a literal set of "Twin Towers" out wide to torture defensive backfields. They aren't just rebuilding; they've built a unit structured to repeat as division champions and make a deep playoff run. Just days ago at OTAs, Dave Canales told the media that Young has "total command of the system." The confidence in the kid is booming, his narrative is shifting, and buying him as a QB3 right now is pure market theft.

Tyler Shough (NO)

Let’s be real: when New Orleans brought in Tyler Shough, it wasn't a pick that generated immediate chest-thumping excitement. The market fatigued hard on his age and the murky situation in the post-Derek Carr era. But smart analysts look past the name value and examine the structural environment.

The Saints have quietly assembled a high-octane playground. They have Chris Olave as the engine, the explosive Jordyn Tyson, and Travis Etienne anchoring the backfield as an elite PPR asset. Combine them with a massive sleeper in Devaughn Vele, who flashes clear vertical upside and newly drafted tight end Oscar Delp waiting to seize the lead role, and the infrastructure is immaculate.

Shough has shown immense developmental growth over the offseason. He has firmly established himself as the undisputed QB1 for the Saints with zero competition entering camp. Expect a massive sophomore leap from him. He has a direct runway to establish himself as a long-term franchise anchor in the NFC South.

Malik Willis (MIA)

When called upon in Green Bay, Malik Willis absolutely balled out, flashing a higher ceiling in chunks than even Jordan Love. Unfortunately, a defensive collapse and a late offensive stall masked his efficiency which was a failure heavily driven by coaching errors rather than player capability. Make no mistake: Willis is an NFL starting quarterback. The talent was there at Liberty, Tennessee completely fumbled his early development, and now his valuation is ready to correct.

Willis got the bag from Miami, and the team completely reset the foundation around him by hiring Head Coach Jeff Hafley and promoting Offensive Coordinator Bobby Slowik. This is the ultimate catalyst. Slowik who is a Shanahan acolyte who just spent two years directing high-efficiency offenses and famously unlocked C.J. Stroud knows exactly how to construct a system around a young passer's strengths.

Slowik’s scheme thrives on keeping defenses off-balance, leveraging a heavy run game to open up explosive chunk plays downfield. Despite what a temporary, transitional depth chart might say, the Dolphins brought in Chris Bell and Caleb Douglas to lead this wide receiver room for years to come. Pair them with De'Von Achane, who just signed a massive long term deal to anchor the backfield's explosive spatial leverage, and the infrastructure is immaculate. Slowik recently noted that Willis "can spin the ball all over the field" and that his mobility forces defenses to play 11-on-11. Expect a massive year from Willis as Slowik fully unleashes his elite physical toolkit.

The Long-Term Outlook

All three of these quarterbacks possess undeniable staying power as the future faces of their respective franchises. While they have the athletic profiles and supporting casts to produce spike weeks and back-end QB2 numbers this season, 2027 and beyond is where they will truly cement themselves. Buy them at their current QB3 cost before they show definitive signs of life as weekly Superflex staples.
